Welcome Back to Our Christmas Corner

Merlin loves Christmas
Welcome Back to Our Christmas Corner

After a couple of quiet years, this little Christmas corner of the internet is glowing again.

When I first started this blog, it was never meant to be big or polished. It was a place to gather family stories, favourite recipes, photos of decorations we loved, and the small traditions that make the season feel like home. Mostly, it was shared with family—and that was always enough.

Life has a way of shifting seasons, and for a while this space rested. But Christmas has a long memory, and I’ve missed having a place to tuck these moments away. So here we are again.

What This Blog Is

This blog has always been — and will remain — family-centred. You’ll find:

Stories from our home and holidays

Recipes that are practical, nostalgic, or just plain comforting

Decor and craftideas that lean more meaningful than perfect

Pets who inevitably wander into photos

And occasional “how-to” posts — the kind you’d share over coffee.

It’s about presence, memory, and enjoying the season as it actually unfolds.

A New Rhythm for the Year

Originally, this blog was intended to be active only in the Christmas Holiday season — which still feels like its natural home. That won’t change.

But going forward, I’ll also be adding one or two posts each month throughout the year. These will reflect the quieter side of Christmas living: seasonal rhythms, preparation without pressure, small traditions, and the gentle ways we carry the spirit of the season even when the tree is packed away. It is also a time to start making plans and getting ahead in our holiday preparations.

Changing Times

Time has passed since this space was last active, and with time has come change — some of it tender, some of it hard, all of it part of living. Christmas, like family, doesn’t stand still, and neither do we.

What remains is the intention behind this blog: to gather what matters, to remember with kindness, and to make room for joy where it appears.

One such bright spot is Merlin, our Keeshond puppy, who joined the family eight months ago. He is part of our present — a cheerful presence woven into the season as it is now

Looking Ahead

Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be sharing a series of new posts to gently re-fill this space — recipes, reflections, photos, and a few practical ideas that have become part of our holiday rhythm.

If you’ve been here before, welcome back.

If you’re new, I’m glad you found your way here.
