Cold New Years Eve 2014

Bob and I took the grandkids out to see Frozen while their parents went to a New Years Eve party. After we dropped them all off at home we stopped at Tim Horten's to warm up!

The Manger Scene

I just love this sweet picture.

He is so thoughtful. I made these figures over 30 years ago from a printed panel. I added little embellishments like little pearls and jewels on the wise men and camels. The manger has a little insert that is Baby Jesus on one side and a hay print on the other so we turn it to be baby up on Christmas.

Jasper on New Years Eve

Jasper has been very good with the Christmas tree. We did put lights on the tree but we didn't put many decoration on the tree because we knew that would be too much temptation.  He has been a great source of entertainment  this year and I have really enjoyed taking pictures of Jasper's First Christmas.

Scandinavian Choir Concert

We had a great time at our Christmas Concert!
The choir gets together once a week and we do these concerts twice a year. We sing in all 5 Nordic languages and in English.

This year we got together a selection of holiday songs that had some kind of references to holiday foods.  It was decided that we should a wear aprons and carry wooden spoons.

Our guests all seemed to be laughing and having a good time. We had a great selection of food that was brought by the Choir members.We sang our songs, and had a bit of a sing along. We had really good items for a chance auction and it was highly competitive about which table would be the big winner of the evening.

This is not our group but here is one of the songs we sang. Next time we should tape the show.
